Behavior intervention developer Savannah Phelan shares about her experience helping students with behaviors in schools and offers advice to BIDs just starting out.

          Savannah Phelan. Savannah took some time to explain what has motivated
          her to become a BID and to offer advice for those just starting
          out.</span

            >Why did you become a behavior intervention developer?
          </strong></span
        >
      </div>

          >When I finished college, I moved to Los Angeles to work in Applied
          Behavior Analysis (ABA) and fell in love with the field. What started
          out as a summer job quickly became a passion, and once I applied for
          my master&rsquo;s degree, I was hooked!</span
        >

            >What advice would you give to someone starting out in your
            field?</strong

      </div>

          >The first step is to work with the population, take the plunge and
          get into special education any way you can to get some experience and
          figure out how things work in the field. There are many different ways
          to modify behavior, so try a few different environments to see what
          suits you best.</span
        >
      </div>
